Opera Together live for grades 4-12 — La Cenerentolla (Cinderella)!

This fall students come together with professional artists to perform a 50-minute reduction of Rossini’s classic comedic opera, La Cenerentola (Cinderella). Masterfully designed for young audiences, the English language production features professional singers and a pianist alongside your own students in speaking and acting roles and an optional student chorus of any size. Students memorize lines, music, and staging in advance, are coached by artists in dress rehearsal adding props, costumes, and scenery, and perform for school and community. A designated facilitator at the school responsible for overseeing and preparing students and confirming all details is required.
Stellar students from each production have an opportunity to perform in the special San Francisco Opera Guild Community Performances in mid-December!
Participating classrooms are invited to attend the mainstage production of Carmen in final fress rehearsal at San Francisco Opera in November! Access to performance space and a piano in working order is necessary for this program.
The “Tech Track” Add OnThis year we encourage students to explore a “Tech Track” along with our Opera Together, Book to Bravo! and Voices for Social Justice residencies. Ideally engaging a separate classroom, these activities range from video projects to architectural and product design to scientific engagement and discovery.
